Rebecca Genauer, communications manager

Rebecca has been a college instructor since 2009, teaching courses in Communication Arts, including film classes, public speaking, and interpersonal communication. However, her passion is animal welfare, and she has been a very active volunteer for a regional dog rescue group - coordinating adoptions, writing grants, fundraising, fostering, and much more - since 2011.

Rebecca feels indebted to every dog she has loved and feels compelled to pay it forward by helping others build and sustain the kind of human-pet relationships that have enriched her life. She has a huge soft spot for senior and disabled dogs and she knows that the best way to support these animals is to support the people who love them.

She's pictured here with her beloved Bentley, a disabled dog whose impact on her life cannot be overstated and who is missed more than words can say.
